This is not science, this is opinion.
I’ll start this off with a Beyoncé lyric(the first(technically second) reference of many, stay ready);
'but you're doin God's work, you're goin in
It’s from a generally sexy song, so that part got me thinking about the definition of ‘God’s work’ inside, and outside of religion.
Now, a Quinta Brunson quote;
‘I believe that God is in people. When someone gets themselves out of bed, and goes to work and makes a difference for a person that is having a bad day— those are the moments to me that are godlike.’
The past two weeks for me have been characterised by growing anxiety as the day nears dusk, and I’m yet to come up with an idea for a blog post. However, going through the motions, and posting despite how I feel about the piece has been an experience so rewarding, I can only describe it as godlike.
I have experienced so many such moments of connection through people showing up as themselves, yes, but also through art— music, books, paintings, Beyoncé.
Having the ability to experience, and more importantly, create such moments for self, and someone else is godlike.
